“Bold will hold,” is a common saying in the tattooist realm. It’s a term used to stress the importance of drawing heavy lines to keep everything together. It all relates to the structural components that help control the outcome. In the sunglasses business, it’s creativity and style that are the basic tenets of success. Throw in form, function and durability, and you’re on your way to a fun day at the office. Mix them all together, threaten a shitton of fun, a four-wheel drive short bus, the hometown crew, plus a lot of crazy characters and you’ve stumbled into the Bajío booth at the 2024 National Tackle Show known as ICAST. Grab a chair before the happy hour crowd blocks you out.

In July, we rolled into ICAST in Orlando, FL hoping to showcase the newest sunglasses and apparel for the upcoming season. At the same time, we thought it’d be fun to let Casey and Eazy show what they do when not hanging with the crew while donating a portion of their creative proceeds to our friends at Bonefish and Tarpon Trust.
If you’ve never been to ICAST, it tends to have a very serious vibe as tackle manufacturers from around the globe showcase their newest products to fishing tackle retailers. All the major players and competitors in the fishing industry were there, and while we’re very serious about the products we produce, we’re not going anywhere without bringing the fun. With tons of industry friends in attendance, the reunion party was on and lots of smiles were just a hint of what to expect when you come to the booth.

The crowds were heavy, the lines bold and the styles hot, as ICAST attendees dipped in to hang out and watch the drive-bys. Let’s not overlook the crazy cool cast of inspiration on the walls, tables and chairs. After all, roosters and nekid pigs don’t get in a knife fight every day. Hip, fresh and in the flesh was the theme here as new friends and old rolled through to check out
the shades, buzz out some fades and watch the ink dry. The whirlwind factor was in effect, and the laughs and smiles palatable at the love me, love you lounge also known as the Bajío booth.
Yup, the trade show crowd got their ya-ya’s out, while we power napped in the short bus and washed shot glasses with baby wipes. Life is what you make it. We made it a reunion party.
Dig it.
