Chasing Dreams And Fishing For A Living

Bajío came from a dream of a better world. One where businesses are responsible for their footprint and work to have minimum impact on our planet and natural resources. A world where big companies give back to the people and places they love, not because they have to, but because they can. Protect them, make the better.

Starting from scratch, we worked to build Bajío on that precept. It was a bitch from day one. Sourcing was a nightmare, raising money was bizarre and getting the highest quality employees to buy in was uncomfortable, particularly since most of them are good friends. But we did it.

We utilized the latest technology to produce the clearest lens on the market, found cactus leather cases, recycled cardboard boxes and super light and strong bio-resin frames. Then we launched it all in the middle of a pandemic, just to make things tougher.

Through crazy hours, Zoom parties, fishing trips disguised as photo shoots and lots of trial and error (mostly error), we pulled it off. So far.

We haven’t saved as many lives as we’d like or fished as much as we need to, but we’ve made a difference. And we’re just getting started.

So buckle up, put your helmet on and climb aboard. The Make A Difference train is leaving the station, and you’ve got an E-ticket to join us on this journey to make the world a better place through fishing.

Building a company that’s better for the planet and gives back to the sport we love. Every company should be this way.

“I guess you could say we’re a bunch of idealistic misfits who believe that fishing can change the world…And for some crazy reason, we put everything on the line to do it.”
