Get stuck in the mud after a wrong turn in South Louisiana? Don’t fear, Bajíos aren’t afraid of a little mud bath.
However, no matter how dirty, lost, and dusty you get you must take care of your shades at the end of the day. Clean and clear lenses help you spot more fish, and we’re going to tell you how to keep them that way.
Cleaning Cloth or Micro Fiber Bag
If you bought your Bajíos before 2024 There’s a microfiber cleaning cloth in your Bajío box, If not you’ll want to use your microfiber Bajío bag. This is a great tool for when you're on the go. Use this cloth to clean watermarks, smudges, fingerprints, and annoying eye sores throughout the day. This knick-knack will keep you in the game until you can get to a sink.
When using your cloth or bag it's important to cover the front and back of the lens and pull it across the lens with your thumb and index finger in a straight line motion. This will trap and move oil, dirt, and dust to the side. Avoid swirling the cloth around the lens, this will just spread the material you’re looking to remove and can scratch the lens. This cloth is also best used dry, don't wet the cloth before use, this will compromise its cleanliness.
At Home Care
The BEST way to get your shades back to like-new condition is to wash them with soap under warm water. Apply a thin layer of dish soap or lens cleaner using your thumb and index finger all around both sides of the lens. Rinse and then dry with a paper towel. After this, you should be back to showroom spec!
