Can you handle the heat?

Texas is known for a lot of things: Willie Nelson, Buc-ee's, and N.A.S.A, to name a few. But in Houston and all of Texas, we do have a problem. Sometimes up to 300 days a year.

Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio average between 220-230 sunny days each year. El Paso, in the far west, receives sunshine on approximately 297 days per year.

Texas is the 2nd largest solar provider in the country, and it comes down to one thing - SUNSHINE.

Here are the two lenses you’ll need to harness it.

Violet Mirror

The flats are unforgiving, you’ll need to see bottom no matter the conditions. If you step off plane, you might need a plane to come get you. In the extreme Texas shallows, you’ll need a lens that helps you cut through glare at first light and last. When the jack plate is up, and the sun's going down, reach for our low light leader - violet mirror.

Green Mirror

Between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm, you’ll need a lens that blocks the famous Texas sun, but also provides contrast to navigate shallow cuts or spot a cork at 100 feet. In this situation, you’ll want our green mirror. It's a heavy hitter when it comes to light blocking, but still offers a high contrast amber base for fish spotting.
